The Craft

Before the company, there was the work

In 2014, Adil Anwaar began his professional career as an iPhone app developer at a U.S.-based company. The role gave him an early view of what it takes to turn an idea into software that real people can download and use: understanding a requirement, translating it into an interface, writing and refining the application, testing the experience, and preparing each release for the App Store.

That experience also taught him that product development does not end when the code compiles. Mobile software must work within platform rules, device constraints, changing operating systems, customer expectations, and the commercial goals behind the product. Working in an international environment helped establish the standards he would later bring to his own company—clear communication, delivery discipline, attention to the user journey, and responsibility after launch.

By 2018, four years of hands-on mobile development had given Adil more than technical experience. It had given him the confidence to build something of his own.

“Starting as a developer taught me to respect the details. A product succeeds when the technology, the user experience, and the business process work together.”

— Adil Anwaar, Founder & CEO

The Founder Step

Game Boy Studio began in Lahore in 2018

In 2018, Adil started his own business in Lahore, Pakistan. The company began as Game Boy Studio, a focused mobile game-development studio built around the speed, experimentation, and technical discipline required by the app economy.

Gaming was a demanding starting point. Every release had to earn attention in a crowded marketplace. Small teams needed to move quickly, learn from user behavior, adapt to platform changes, manage art and engineering together, and make frequent decisions about performance, monetization, retention, and discoverability.

Game Boy Studio turned that pressure into a repeatable development capability. According to the founder’s title record, the studio launched 168 games for Android and 64 games for iOS—a total of 232 mobile games. Each launch added another layer of practical knowledge: how to scope an idea, create reusable systems, test across devices, prepare store assets, respond to feedback, and support a growing portfolio rather than a single application.

The importance of this chapter is not just the number of games. It is the volume of product decisions behind them. The studio learned how to ship repeatedly, how to improve a production workflow, and how to balance creativity with engineering reliability. Those lessons later became part of Adex Soft’s approach to client products and its own SaaS platforms.

During COVID, the mission expanded beyond gaming

The COVID period changed how businesses operated and accelerated demand for digital services. Organizations that had relied on physical processes, fragmented communication, or limited online systems needed websites, mobile applications, portals, ecommerce, and automation that could support customers and teams from anywhere.

Adil responded by expanding the company beyond games. The team added broader IT services and mobile app development services, applying the delivery discipline developed at Game Boy Studio to business software. The work increasingly involved not only interfaces and code, but also discovery, workflow design, backend systems, integrations, cloud infrastructure, ongoing maintenance, and the day-to-day realities of operating a digital product.

As the scope grew, Game Boy Studio evolved into Adex Soft Solutions. The new identity reflected a larger purpose: to help startups and established companies plan, build, launch, and improve technology products while also developing in-house platforms informed by real industry problems.

This was not a departure from the company’s early experience. It was an expansion of it. The same habits that supported hundreds of game releases—rapid learning, platform knowledge, iteration, performance awareness, and release management—became foundations for custom software development, SaaS products, ecommerce systems, AI-enabled automation, and managed technology operations.

LEADERSHIP PHILOSOPHY

Build Close to the Problem

Adil’s leadership approach is rooted in the path he took into business: building applications himself, managing repeated releases, expanding into services when clients’ needs changed, and operating products whose success depends on day-to-day reality.

01

Understand the workflow before proposing the feature

Technology should remove a real constraint, not add another tool for a team to manage. We map user responsibilities first.

02

Treat launch as a beginning

Monitoring, support, analytics, platform changes, user feedback, and continuous improvement are essential parts of true product ownership.

03

Design for every important role

Customers, staff, administrators, providers, and partners often need distinct interfaces and permissions inside the same unified system.

04

Use automation with accountability

AI and automated workflows should save time while keeping data validation, human review gates, traceability, and exception handling deterministic.

05

Connect product and growth

Performance, search visibility, conversion journeys, store presence, and customer acquisition should be designed as core parts of the software.

“We build our own products, so we understand the responsibility that begins after launch. That is the same ownership mindset we bring to our clients.”

— Adil Anwaar, Founder & CEO
